I’m still in the process of editing Meghan and Zach’s photos but here are a few of my favorites so far…
December is here and Christmas is in the air (even if the air here in Florida is in the 70’s). This past weekend I had the privilege of shooting a series of Christmas photos Steve and Katie. These two have such good chemistry with each other that they looked great together no matter which pose I asked them to stand, sit, or lay on their stomachs in. No to mention, their house was filled with Christmas lights and other Yuletide decorations which allowed us to try out a variety of different shots with unique backgrounds in a very short amount of time. Needless to say, I had a lot of fun creating these photos. Below are a few of my favorite shots from the weekend.
Merry Christmas everyone!
P.S. There’s still time to book your Christmas portrait session.
Dade City is a terrific location to have a wedding. About an hour away from Pinellas County, Dade City is a wonderful contrast from the suburban life of Tampa. Dade City is a rural area with an abundance of scenic farmland and beautiful pastures that are ideal for hosting a wedding. George and Monica decided to have their wedding here, in a beautiful garden. However, my favorite part of this wedding wasn’t the location, it was the unmistakable expression of love on both the bride and groom’s faces throughout the wedding. It’s human nature to want to hide our tears and minimize how much emotion we show to the world, but the passionate, love-filled moments that overflow when we let our guard down are some of the most precious in my opinion. And, this wedding was just filled with those moments.
A few weeks ago, I was able to do something that I don’t normally have the opportunity to do; I got to shoot my little sister’s senior portraits. I work primarily as a wedding photographer, so it was exciting to do something different this time around. For those of you who don’t know her; my sister, Madi, is a
slightly overly enthusiastic, fun-loving girl who’s always laughing (usually at me). She could easily be passed off as tomboy, a pretty girl, or an athlete depending on her mood. So, needless to say, trying to capture all of that was a fun challenge.
Here are a few of my favorite shots that we took in downtown Saint Petersburg. I’ll post some of the more beachy and athletic photos another time, but I just love seeing how much she’s grown up into a beautiful woman these days, so I thought I’d post the “prettiest” photos first. I mean, just look at how bright and beautiful those blue eyes are!.. Who would have thought that such a little punk would turn out so beautiful?!
Just wanted to take a moment today to say Merry Christmas to everyone/anyone reading this blog. I love this time of year because of all the fun time spent with families & the relaxing time off of work; but mostly, I love this time of year because it’s a reminder that Jesus came to earth and paid the price for my sins so that I don’t have to. I hope you all have a great Christmas season this year, I know we have so far!
So you can understand the “fun time” I was referring to, here’s a quick snapshot of the Christmas photo my wife and I (and our cat) took this year:
This post is basically just to double check that everything is set up correctly for the blog. Since you’re reading this though, here’s a random photo that I took in the wake of Tropical Storm Debby earlier this year. Hope you like it!
